As Joe Biden takes a week off to prepare for his debate against Donald Trump, we are left wondering why. Biden is Commander in Chief. He knows all the government secrets. He is on top of domestic and world events. Additionally, we are told how robust he is, and Trump is nothing but pond scum. So why does Biden require seven days to prepare for a debate against pond scum?
Clearly, there is more going on like the fact that Biden mumbles and shakes hands with dead people. The latest, was the moment at the elite Hollywood fundraiser when Obama gently took Biden by the hand to lead him offstage like a toddler. No one bought the lies being spun about that. We have eyes.
So Democrats have seven days to find Joe’s replacement, get him on miraculous medications while fine tuning an invisible earpiece, or pay a doppelgänger. Any way you slice it, Biden is being ill used by the Democratic Party and his family that supposedly loves him dearly.
None of this is surprising. The Democratic Party has devolved into a group of America-hating windbags targeting anything that is based on decency. This includes their constant attacks on our Constitution.
We are being invaded daily with an open border policy that is not only an affront to our laws and national sovereignty but also castigates border agents who wish to vet anyone coming across. My God, in a Chicago migrant shelter an MS13 gangbanger raped his own seven-year-old son. And if illegals aren’t grossly mistreating their own children, they are killing others.
There will, hopefully, be adequate justice for 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray of Texas who was raped, strangled to death, and dumped in a creek by two male, Venezuelan illegals. The Democrats are to blame but don’t care. They tell us we need more people to do the jobs Americans won’t while conveniently forgetting that we have tens of millions receiving welfare and food stamps. Put them to work.
In addition, President Biden’s “forgiveness” of student loan debt flies in the face of a Supreme Court ruling, but he’s getting away with it. Attorney General Merrick Garland defied a Congressional subpoena and was found in contempt of Congress, but the Justice Department won’t prosecute him though we are told no one is above the law. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is under constant attack by Democrats who mildly applaud when a ruling goes their way but demand immediate changes to a co-equal branch when decisions go against their liberal agenda.
When the bump stock decision was made, Democrats didn’t merely send a representative to speak to reporters about their disappointment like Republicans did after the Obamacare ruling. Instead, every Democrat claims corruption within the Court.
Believing Trump is on the ropes, Democrats are shifting the target to rid the Court of “conservative” Justices. One example includes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who tweeted, “[The] court has shown time and time again that it is not capable of policing itself. Congress, as a co-equal branch, must reign them in. Each day we do not, our democracy is at greater risk than the last.”
Leftists will cheer her statement, but it is not in keeping with what is written in the Constitution. Even Alexander Hamilton believed, “judicial independence ‘is the best expedient which can be devised in any government to secure a steady, upright, and impartial administration of the laws’” (constitutioncenter.org). Surely, Democrats should give credence to the man Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote an entire rap musical to celebrate.
It is citizens who must remind politicians that the Constitution established three co-equal branches of government, recognizing the power of the Supreme Court as the highest court in the land to decide matters with constitutional fidelity rather than personal whims. Presidents appoint those they wish to be on the Court and the Senate either confirms the choices or does not.
If Congress wishes to alter the Supreme Court by adding Justices or term limits, they need to follow the rules regarding the constitutional amendment process. Otherwise, their only other action could be to remove a Justice via impeachment. But playing by the rules is not something Democrats do.
Senate Democrats introduced a bill to create a code of ethics for the Supreme Court Justices, which failed. But they knew it would. For it is not about passing legislation. Rather, it is about sowing seeds of public distrust regarding all of our institutions.
The FBI’s raid of a former president’s personal home, the prosecution of some but not others by our DOJ, our Attorney General snubbing a Congressional subpoena, the use of courts to retaliate against a political foe, Obama holding Biden’s hand to lead him off stage, sidestepping the Legislative Branch via executive orders, etc. are all meant to tear down the very foundations of checks and balances in our system of government. All of these have implications here and abroad. Obama always wanted America to lose its superpower status. Hurrah! He has succeeded.
Planting discontent in the minds of Americans who already have a low approval of our system is all in a day’s work for Democrats. They will not be satisfied until every institution they deem unworthy is on fire, and they end up with absolute power. They want control over what we eat, what transportation we use, who gets to maintain their wealth, where we live, which appliances we are allowed to buy, what information is valid, which political opponents to imprison, and who lives or dies decided by a government healthcare board.
It is obvious that we are too dumb to think for ourselves and to understand what is in our own best interests. Big Government is our friend.
There is a reason rat is found within the spelling of Democrat.
Is our nation in an ideal position with this upcoming presidential election? Honestly, no. I have written it over and over again that Biden will not be the Democratic candidate. And Democrats are doing all they can to ensure Trump will not be the Republican candidate. Though they made a huge miscalculation in thinking bogus New York trials would be seen as valid proof of Trump’s illegitimacy to garner a second term, their next step will be to put him in jail.
Though we are living with situations that are not just, we do have a great deal to consider. Let’s say I’m wrong and Biden actually makes it to November in the race against Trump. We still have two unsuitable choices. Biden has the mental acuity of a sausage, has not been the decision maker of anything, and certainly will not be in charge of even the most simple tasks should he win reelection. Our country is in Obama’s third term; and, his love of Communism will tear us asunder if given another four years.
On the flip side, if Trump wins before his appeals overturn his convictions, we will have a felon as president. No matter how disreputable the court system that convicted him was, Trump would become the first felon in the highest office of the land. I like Trump’s policies, but the implications of a felonious president is deeply unsettling for the future.
Alas, like Scarlett O’Hara, I must put my hesitation to the side and think about it tomorrow. For continuing to take the high road is idiotic when fighting against evil. Desperate times call for desperate measures. And if it comes down to Biden versus Trump, I will vote Trump. I will also continue to vote Republican.
I’m no fool. I know most Republicans in office are Never-Trumpers who have done nothing to fight against the radicalism currently taking place. But, I would rather have do-nothings in the Congress and Senate than those who are treasonous Communists.
When I vote for Republicans, I know they will merely grandstand with endless soundbites on Fox News as well as endless hearings that will go nowhere. Every election period, members of the GOP will say all the right things but never do any of them. In other words, assuredly, the majority of who I vote for will merely collect a paycheck and go back into the swamp. But that is still preferable than the destruction of what our Founders built and what our military has fought for and died to protect.
A week of preparation to hear Biden’s brainless babbling versus Trump’s tedious trumpeting isn’t what troubles me most. Instead it’s how we got here to begin with, and the knowledge of the sacrifices it will take to turn things around. I pray we have the right stuff.
I’m grateful that we can freely discuss or say what we want on this matter. Some don’t care for Trump but it’s the entire package that he brings to the table that is important.
Frankly Scarlett, all patriotic Americans need to give a damn. But I'm afraid a majority of them don't have the right stuff. I am not optimistic about the election in November. The socialists and communists who now dominate the Democrat Party have have already figured out how to get millions of illegals into the voting booths & how to fill out mail-in ballots. That has been their plan since our liar-in-chief took office 3-1/2 years ago.
