This past weekend was a taste of what’s to come. The media and social media focused on Trump’s statements to Christians at the Turning Point USA Believers Summit this past weekend, ending his speech where it started by emphasizing the apathy Christians have toward voting by stating:
“And, again, Christians, get out and vote. Just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it’ll be fixed. It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. I love you Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you. Get out. You gotta get out and vote. In four years you won’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good you’re not gonna have to vote.”
The “it,” of course is our country. Our county will be fixed from all of its Biden/Harris problems if Christians get out in huge numbers to vote for Trump. Then, if they wish, they can once again go back to being apathetic in 2028. Anyone with a brain understood his meaning. But for those relying on “fact checkers,” even PolitiFact came to the conclusion that Democrat politicians and their minions were putting out falsities. Trump was taken out of context, as usual, and labeled Hitler again.
Forget that Biden just described his radical ideas to alter our Supreme Court including 18 year term limits, which for a politician that has been in office for over five decades is hypocritical let alone unconstitutional. Forget about how Kamala became a presidential candidate, which leans dictatorial. Forget about Kamala’s record as the most liberal senator. Forget that our purposely broken border will bring forth illegal immigrants voting in our elections. Forget how government wants to mandate what cars we drive, what stoves we buy, and what food we eat. Forget that we are in the midst of inflation. Forget that there are two major wars going on in the world, let alone the constant unrest in Africa. It goes on and on but never matters.
Forget it all because the only thing of real consequence is a woman’s right to abort babies.
And it is at this Christian conference, Trump made surprisingly honest admissions regarding the issue of abortion. True, he praised the Supreme Court for overturning Roe v. Wade thereby returning the issue to the states and constituents. But he, also, told a group of Christians the truth.
He began by painting Kamala and her followers as radicals desiring women to decide to abort at any time during pregnancy. Then added, “And, like Ronald Reagan, I strongly believe in exceptions for life of the mother, rape, and incest. I think it’s very important. Don’t forget you have to go with your heart, but you also have to win elections…If you don’t do certain things, you’re not going to win elections.”
Gasp! Trump actually told the audience that there must be compromise to win. It was jarring to hear because no politician is ever this honest.
Some in the Christian audience booed Trump’s pragmatism. After all, Christians, including staunch Catholics, want abortions banned. Having former-President Trump lay out that he supports abortions in limited and rare cases will turn-off those who are pro-life without exception. But, Trump is 100% correct. There is no way conservative candidates are going to win without conceding some ground on abortion.
Face it, Trump did a great job of putting forth judges and Supreme Court Justices who have a different take on abortion-on-demand in America. No one would have thought it possible to return the abortion fight back to the states after two generations.
But what has been the will of the people in those states?
In seven states (both blue and red) where abortion was left to the people, the people voted for abortion rights. This year, eleven more states will have abortion on the ballot. Meanwhile, the left is condemning Iowa for its six-week abortion ban, even though it allows abortions for those who have been raped or became pregnant via incest. Kamala never mentions the last part when she speaks of Iowa. Moreover, pregnancy tests have improved to the point where women can find out if they are pregnant days before a missed cycle. But never mind the truth. It’s all about demonization.
Iowans can vote Governor Kim Reynolds and legislators who backed this ban out of office, if they so choose, which is why states’ rights versus a federal law matter. All those wishy-washy, faith-filled politicians who straddle the fence trying to get votes are dishonest. You know the type. “I, personally, don’t agree with abortion, but I can’t push my feelings on others.” How selfless!
So, I give credit to Trump. He’s not playing that game. He, instead, is telling Christian voters that not only did we have a victory with the overturning of Roe v. Wade, but that’s about all he is going to be able to do. My advice to Christians, in particular, is don’t be a single issue voter.
Furthermore, his speech got me thinking. Should Christians and anti-abortionists blame politicians for something that has been ensconced in our consciousness for over 50 years? Or, should we take a look in the mirror?
Clearly, pro-lifers have failed to make a compelling case to the American people regarding why abortion is the slavery issue of our times. Churches are no longer filled to capacity. The Bible no longer guides the majority of our citizens’ decisions. Christians, in particular, allowed incremental alterations to societal norms believing that turning the other cheek would cause laypeople to see Christian leaders as good people.
In other words, our society has been radicalized because our church attendees, church leaders, and pro-lifers failed to fight the small stuff until it snowballed toward the un-Godly society we have today. Instead of calling out our media and progressive culture, they went with the flow with nary a peep.
When the Catholic Church never properly dealt with the scandals that faced it, the Church went into hiding. Other Christian churches turned their backs on biblical truths to bring in secular teachings. The most recent example includes the United Methodist Church who in May opted to allow openly LGBTQ+ to be ministers. And where are we now?
Take a look at the disgusting opening ceremony at the Olympics, mocking The Last Supper with drag queens and transgenders. The Olympics is supposed to be about world-class athletes and patriotism not a hedonistic display ridiculing Christians. Liberals have used the trickle down effect of uprooting societal norms to their advantage while we slept.
If Trump was truly a dictator, he would have executive ordered an abortion ban. He would have had a fake election like Maduro in Venezuela about which Kamala tweeted, “The United States stands with the people of Venezuela who expressed their voice in today’s historic presidential election. The will of the Venezuelan people must be respected. Despite the many challenges, we will continue to work toward a more democratic, prosperous, and secure future for the people of Venezuela.”
Hello! The will of the Venezuelan people must be respected. The will of the American people had nothing to do with Kamala becoming the unofficial presidential candidate.
We see the real dictators in the United States each day. We have no functioning government or governmental institutions, Kamala is not a true presidential candidate, Joebama wants to fundamentally alter the Supreme Court, the media is in the back pocket of the Democratic Party, censorship is happening with internet searches, and the billionaires Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamala Harris harangue publicly are funding Democrats and their causes.
Be realistic, Trump will not fulfill the dreams of those wanting abortions to cease. That will have to come incrementally just like how political proponents of Saul Alinsky used our education system to make incremental changes to our society that have recently climaxed into Leftists’ wet dreams.
Those of us who are pro-life have been fighting on defense not offense. As the political action committee Won’t PAC Down puts out a creepy ad about MAGA voters, another strategy is to call us weird. These grade school ad hominem attacks would be considered ridiculous if we had normal, functioning adult voters. Instead, what Republicans see as laughable, is effective.
Where are organized people of faith demanding that federal funding for Planned Parenthood be stripped? Where are the organized faithful demanding that ultrasounds be given before pregnant mothers make their final decision to abort? Where are the organized faithful’s ads showing faith based crisis pregnancy centers available to help pregnant women? Unless you listen to conservative radio or watch Rumble, most Americans don’t know of a different path than Planned Parenthood. The silent majority needs to stop being silent.
WE have failed in our mission to instruct women that it is no longer the 1950s. WE have failed to keep sex education that embraces abortion, gender ideology, and a push for puberty blockers out of schools. WE have failed to detail how medicine and medical technology has come so far that women can see and hear fetal heartbeats earlier. There is even 4D ultrasound imaging so a woman can see her baby in utero starting at 24 weeks. It’s truly amazing technology. Instead, we fight against the pro-abortionists as if we are in the stone age.
The abortion messaging has been far better than the anti-abortion messaging over the decades. Birth control used to be prescribed only for married women until the early 1970s. Now we have Plan B. Abortions being safe, legal, and rare has morphed into my body, my choice and just another form of birth control. Ironic that Margaret Sanger’s eugenics was akin to Hitler, but the Left keeps that bit of history to themselves.
Conservatives have failed to proactively expand the scope of elections beyond the one issue of abortion, so it should be no surprise that Commie Kamala could actually win. We are in a fight for the direction of our country. If abortion is the most important issue to you, stop sitting on the sidelines and start organizing for societal change. In the meantime, get out and vote before we no longer have an America to fight for.
Boy Erin, you are so right on all of this. I don’t know which line here to use to stack this ! They’re all so good and on target.
Maybe that should be the ultimate slogan moving forward - Look in the mirror, damn it ! You did this !
“The LEFT” has no talking points.
Roe was Overturned on Constitutional Grounds:
I’ll paraphrase:
“Any powers not specifically granted to the federal government is reserved to the states.”
Abortion is a States Issue
Abortion is an Irrelevant Issue on the Federal Level.”
#DoctorY’s Thoughts🤔
President Trump🇺🇸 has to remind voters that
Chameleon Harris took an Oath of Office to Uphold and Defend the Constitution of the United States and she instead is trying to Destroy Our Constitution.
President Trump🇺🇸 appointed Constitutionalists to the Supreme Court, and Biden-Harris appointed a Supreme Court Justice who wants to Legislate from the Bench.
Illegal Immigration is the Main Issue.
Bidenflation
Fiscal Responsibility and OverTaxation
Safety, Gangs, Violence, Law and Order
Failing Public Schools under Biden-Harris
How can anyone vote for Harris who did nothing in 4 years to solve the problem she and Biden created?
Abortion is truthfully defined as the killing of Innocent, Developing Baby Girls and Baby Boys.”
Harris has no Chance Against President Trump!💯
